Computer Graphics- Photoshop.: December 2009

Hye everyone, this is my idea for this assigment 2. I decide to do a Friendship Greeting Card. Basically the reason why i choose this theme because i feel my friend is someone that close to me, so by doing this greeting card, i can show that i care and appreciate them in my life.

Before doing this card, i'm thinking to using scenery picture as my background. this is because i like to see scenery like Auntum & Winter image. Its make me feel calm and peace.

These are the Step to do this card :

So firstly i decide to use this Auntum Leaves images as my first background layout.

I'm taking this pictures from sample image from my picture folder in my PC.

1) Firstly, i want to remove the tree and the leaves, so i using the Clamp Stamp Tool to do this.To using this tool it take a quite some times because i need to remove it smoothly to make it clear like no tree and leaves exist in this picture.

2)After i had remove the tree and leaves this is the result. I compare the original picture with the new one.

3) After that, I want to change the image colour to be more bright so the sky will look more attractive. So im using Image Adjusment that is Curves.

4) This is Sunset image that i search from the internet. I decide want to do masking with this image, so i can combines it with the first picture.

5) to do the masking i'm using the Magic Wand Tool. I click the shift to add the space of magic wand at where i want.

6) I'm also using the Brush TooL to select the place that i want and colour the place that i do not need.

7) So after finish with masking, i copy the image and i paste it at the first image that is Autumn images.

8) I added up a new layer at the Autumn image, and i paste it with the sunset image.

9) For the Sunset image i have using the filter that is Brush Stroke> Sumi-e.

10) This is it look like after i have using the filter effects. The effect make the sky more artistic.

11) After that, i want to make the page into half and half size, so im using the rectangle shape tool to draw the line. After that i make the line more thinner so it will be look like the middle line to divide the A4 page half and half.

12) After that, i create the shadow of greeting card word. I'm using the Switch between free Transform and wrap mode to change the shape of rectangle shape. I make the shape like a wave.

After doing that, i use the Layer style that is Blending Option and i reduce the Opacity of the shape to 74 and i use the Darker Colour at the Blend Mode.

13) So this is the result after i apply the shadow of the greeting card word and the line of the page.

13)I use the Horizontal type tool to create the Friendship Greeting Card text and I use Vivaldi font family with 44.42 size.

14) This is the friendship image that i search on the internet. I'm using this picture because it shows that the friends is having fun and they have a strong friends relationship.

15) After that, i'm using the Magic Wand Tool to select the people and i copy it, and then I paste the people image on my Autumn & Sunset Layout.

16) The next step is, i have choose to use the rectangle shape tool to represent each person on that image. i will be using 5 different colours. For the first one i'm using purple colour and i reduce the Opacity of the colour to 41 with Darker Colour Blend Mode style.

17) For the second color i will be using pink colour, and i use same Opacity and also the blend mode.

18) For the third colour i will be using green colour, and i use same Opacity and also the blend mode.

19) For the forth colour i will be using orange colour, and i use same Opacity and also the blend mode.

20) For the fifth colour i will be using blue colour, and i use same Opacity and also the blend mode.

21) This is result after i'm using different colour to each one person. I'm using this colour to represent the differences each one of us. For example for the blue colour, it will give the cool expression to the person.

22) Next step is i'm use Custom Shape Tool that is Talk 1. This is to create the talk box.

23) After that i write "Lets have fun guys!" at the talk box. I'm using Georgia font family with 18.34 size.

24) After that I write "Forever Friends" in front of the colours. This is to show th strenght of their relationship. The relation bond that have been made between them is last forever.

25) I'm also write "Wish You A friendship Day". This is to strenghten that, this is a friendship greeting card.

26) For the other half of the page, i create a shadow this is to be the background of the words. I'm using this shadow by using Rectangle shape tooL, and i reduce the Opacity to 41.

27) For the words, i create by my self, i have inspired this words and i decide to use it in this friendship greeting card. I create the words by using High Tower Text font famlity with 19.8 sizes.

28) After that, i applied custom shape tool that is Hedera 2 shape. I use it in 5 different colour that are purple,pink, green, orange and blue. I use these colour same like the friendship people colour at the another half page.

29) i use my own picture. This is my friends and i feet. we took this picture when we visit melaka last month.

30) I use adjusment layer that is Curve to change the contrast of the colour. to make it more dark .

31) After that i use Polygonal Lasso Tool to make the shape of the picture that i want to crop.

32) Next step is i paste the picture on my main backgraound. and i reduce the opacity to 71 and i also appy drop shadow and Bevel and Emboss to the picture at the Style.
